We’re supposed to believe that Dr. Kieran Moore is a serious, scientific doctor and not some jabbering idiot. The evidence, however, is strongly for the latter.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford, Moore’s boss, announced today the dates for lifting of COVID restrictions, saying that the (useless) mask mandate would be removed last. Behind Premier Ford stood the fully vaxxed and boosted Dr. Moore and Health Minister Christine Elliott. They were socially distanced, standing more than two meters apart, and both were masked and looking serious. The two of them stood at least three meters behind fully vaxxed and boosted Premier Ford at the podium.
As Premier Ford was about to speak and tellOntarians how crucial mask wearing was, he removed his! He then spoke at length and projected his voice, and Dr. Moore just stood there!! The idea behind mask wearing is that masks prevent the projection of viruses, and the more active and dynamic the breathing is, as with public speaking and singing, the larger and more projective the volume of virus is. Ford removed his mask at the very time it was, by the science, most needed; meanwhile those who needed it least wore theirs as well as socially distanced!
What are we to make of this? This is political theatre, not the rational application of science. Moore is all for the alleged science when it comes to ordinary people, but not for his political masters, who allegedly follow his advice. Or does Dr. Moore truly have a grasp of the science as he maintains he does?
Who are the bigger fools here? Ford, Moore, or Ontarians for listening to
them?
