Bullsheet in service of the agenda.

Vincent J. Curtis

27 Jan 23

RE: COVID-19 misinformation contributed to 2,800 deaths.  A CP story by Nicole Ireland.  The Hamilton Spectator 27 Jan 23.

Whenever I read such obvious bullsheet, I wonder how it ever got to be news?  How could they know what they claim to know?  What agenda is being served?  Who wrote this?

Look at the weasel words: misinformation and contributed.  What was “misinformation,” that if you took the vaccine, you wouldn’t get COVID, or that the vaccines did not prevent infection or transmission and were essentially worse than useless for young, and healthy people?  In precisely what way does misinformation contribute to a person’s death?

How can a researcher know what was in the mind of a person who died of COVID, especially after the fact?  What about all those people who survived COVID, or didn’t get it while misinformed?  It is impossible to know what is claimed, i.e. that 2800 died from misinformation.  Turns out, they, the alleged “researchers,” have no data, only mathematical models; and ,models aren’t data and don’t produce data.  They don’t even have data to extrapolate from.  And 2,800 is a substantial proportion of the total.  It’s all bullsheet.

The agenda being served is State and Big Tech censorship.  Only ‘trusted sources’ should be allowed to speak with a megaphone, all others being suppressed, they recommend.  And the trusted sources all work for the government.

Finally, who are these people?  I’ve never heard of the “Council of Canadian Academies” before.  Turns out, they’re little different from Troy Media.  The “paper” on which the CP story is based doesn’t appear to have been published in a peer-reviewed journal, not that that means anything nowadays.

The Spec published the story because government and Big Tech censorship is congenial to its past editorial positions: in this crisis do whatever the government wants and believe whatever they want you to believe.  Nevertheless, the claims are bullsheet.

Madison Brooks Leaves the car

Vincent J. Curtis

29 Jan 23

This report comes from a New York Post article (dated Jan 27, 2023 10:46am), again reporting on the reportage of the UK Daily Mail and from an interview given to WAFB.  These were interviews of lawyer Ron Haley, who is defense attorney for 18 y.o. Kaivon Washington and his uncle, 28 year old Everett Lee.  Apparently, Washington video recorded some of the events that occurred in the car, and Haley claims that the video shows Madison consented to sex with both the 17 y.o. and with Washington before her death.  Of course the defense attorney is going to claim is clients are innocent.

Previously, we learned that the car driver Casen Carver agreed to take Madison home because all her friends had left her, she was heavily intoxicated, and the bar was closing.  Carver, the 18 y.o white guy drove, 28 y.o. Lee rode in the front passenger seat, and Madison sat in the back with the 17 y.o. and with 18 y.o. Kaivon Washington.

When Carver asked Madison for an address to take her to, she keeled over, inert, unable to respond.  Carver parked the car on a street not far from Reggie’s.  At this point, the 17 y.o. asked Madison five times, according to Carver, if he could have sex with her.  Madison finally, allegedly, gave “verbal consent,” according to Carver.  Neither Washington nor anyone else apparently video recorded at this point.  Given the circumstance, Madison must have had her pants peeled down, and the 17 y.o. fucked her doggie-style in some fashion.  Then, Madison allegedly agreed to be serviced by Washington, likely in a similar fashion.  Carver did not intervene, but said he hated what was going on in the back of his car.

The semen from the 17 y.o and from 18 y.o. Kaivon Washington stewed in Madison’s cervix, and the mixture worked its way inevitably into her womb.  Eventually, Madison sobered up enough to where she could give Carver an address.

At this point lawyer Ron Haley describes the chain of events.  Washington filmed four clips.  They show Madison using “choice language” at Carver, and Carver growing increasingly frustrated at her changing her mind as to where she wanted to be taken.

“It is conversation – pretty much an argument – between her and the driver,“ said Haley of the four clips taken by 18 y.o. Washington.

Carver was frustrated that the third address Madison gave him turned out to be not the one she wanted, having changed her mind again, and she wanted to go to a fourth address.  At this point, according to Haley, the clips show Carver said something to the effect that they could not do this all night, make up your mind where you want to be.  Madison gets upset and uses choice language on Carver.  After that, he asked her to get out of the vehicle.  She acquiesces and says, “That’s fine, I’ll take Uber to wherever I need to go next,” said Haley.

Madison got out of her own accord, and only after they had driven off was Madison hit by another car and killed, according to lawyer Haley.

“They did not dump her out of the car,” said Haley.  “They did not force her out of the vehicle,” saying one of the videos shows her getting out.  One of the others in the car (it would have to be 28 y.o. Lee) tried to calm the situation down and ask Madison to get back in the car.  But she didn’t want to.

Observations:

Carver comes across as something of a Good Samaritan in wanting to take Madison home, even though he did not stop the sexual encountered which he “hated.”  He began to feel ill-used by the abuse he was receiving the drunk he was trying to help.

The racial aspect of the sex was not as I originally feared, and depicted it, in “The Story of Ashley.”  The four men were not a rape gang looking for a victim, but two of the four were opportunists.

Madison comes across as a party girl who got in a little over her head this time.  She was seen hugging and dancing with Carver and the 17 y.o in the bar.  Besides being an experienced, heavy drinker, she also apparently indulged in smoking weed, and had some THC still in her system at the time of her death.  It is unlikely that she was slipped a date-rape drug, and got intoxicated all on her own.  Madison must have had sex before in her life, but a gang bang with multiple strangers in the back of car was still a novelty for the 19 y.o., given her reactions.

Notwithstanding the coroner’s report, Madison’s blood alcohol content must have been in the range of .15%, given her physical reactions, lack of some others like vomiting and loss of bladder control, and the fact that over three hours she also danced in the bar with her new friends.

Reggie's bar is one mile from the LSU campus, and Madison was killed at a place 3.5 miles from Reggies bar.

Madison Brooks Update: Fox News timeline (Jan 26)

Vincent J. Curtis

29 Jan 23

This is a timeline of events in Madison Brook’s death as released by the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office and reported by Fox News:

-          10.06 pm: Madison arrives at Reggie’s bar in Tigerland, located on Bob Pettit Blvd.

-          10:18 pm: Casen Carver (18 y.o white guy), Kaivon Washington (18 y.o Black) and Everett Lee, (28, Black), and 17 y.o, arrive at Reggie’s bar.

-          Inside the bar, Madison is seen hugging and dancing with Carver and the 17 y.o.

-          1:00 am: Madison is seen sitting on a stool, she stands up to readjust her pants and stumbles backwards.  She was helped to her feet with the help of three people.

-          1:34 am. Madison falls while standing up from a bench near the entrance to Reggie’s.  The 17 y.o. then allegedly removes the baseball cap Madison was wearing, and she is seen grabbing at his hand while getting back on her feet.

-          1:49 am. Madison and the four men leave the bar.

-          1:51 am: Madison and the four men are seen walking towards the location of their parked vehicle.

-          1:54 am: The group boards the vehicle.

-          2:50 am.  EBRSO receives call about a fatal crash on Burbank Drive

More from the story, testimony of Casen Carver to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office:

-          Carver and the three others went to Reggies bar, where they consumed alcohol.  Carver denies ever seeing Madison before that night.

-          “the victim walked with them” as they were leaving the bar.  Brooks was unstable on her feet, not able to keep her balance, and was unable to speak clearly without slurring her words.”

-          Madison allegedly asked Carver for a ride home, and Carver agreed to do so because he did not want to leave her while very intoxicated and the bar was closing.

-          Carver asked Madison about her friends, but “she was drunk and did not know where her friends were.”

-          Carver drove the vehicle and Lee (28, Black) sat in the front passenger seat.  Brooks sat in the back with the 17 y.o. and 18 y.o. Kaivon Washinton.

-          Carver asked Brooks for an address, but she fell over and couldn’t answer him.

-          Carver then drove a short distance to a nearby street, where they parked.

-          Carver heard the 17 y.o. ask Brooks five times if she wanted to have sex with him.  The victim allegedly “gave verbal consent.”

-          According to Carver, the 17 y.o. and 18 y.o. Kaivon Washington then took turns having sex with Brooks.  Carver said she consented to the 17 y.o. and then to Washington but thought “Brooks was ‘drunker’ and her speech was slurred.

-          Carver and 28 y.o. Lee were still in the car while the sex acts were taking place, but Varver felt uncomfortable, and said he “hated it.”

-          When asked if he thought Brooks too impaired to give consent, Carver answered “I guess.”

Madison Brooks Update

Vincent J. Curtis

29 Jan 23

This update is based on a report dated January 25th from the New York Post, reporting on the reportage of the UK Daily Mail.  The story is about a report that Madison worked for the bar where she drank before being attacked.

These are the new alleged facts:

-          Madison may have worked for the bar “where she and the four male suspects boozed it up in the hours before her shocking death.”

-          Madison and some of her Alpha Phi sorority sisters may have worked behind the bar.  Madison posted online several photos of her and her sorority sisters at the bar, one of which had the caption, “3 little Reggie’s workers.”  Nevertheless, it is unclear that she was formally employed by the bar.

-          Police said she was capture on surveillance video entering the bar at about 10:00 pm January 14 (that would be a Saturday night) and was not working at the bar.

-          She met up with the 17 year old suspect, and left with him in a drunken state between 1:00 am and 2:00 am Sunday morning (Jan 15).

-          Three other men joined the pair and got into a car.

-          One of the suspects, white, 18 year old Casen Carver, told police that Madison was “very unstable on her feet, was unable to keep her balance, and was unable to speak clearly without slurring her words.”

-          The story repeats the claim that Madison’s blood alcohol level at death was 0.319%, nearly four times the legal limit to drive.

-          Two suspects, the 17 year old, and 18 year old Kaivon Washington, who is Black, allegedly raped Madison in the back seat of the car, and though she was in a drunken state was able to give consent, the suspects alleged.

-          A judge who reviewed the video recordings made by one of the suspects, said it showed the four accused “callously laughing as Brooks slurred her words inside the car.”  The judge also reviewed footage from the bar that shows her stumbling, falling over, and needing assistance to stand prior to the assault.

Analysis:

The events leading up to Madison’s leaving the bar get curiouser and curiouser.  That she was drinking only with the 17 year old, a person two years her junior, might explain why Madison was not on her guard.  But what was she doing drinking herself into a high state of intoxication with a 17 year old for three hours or more?  How could she get to such a state without someone in the bar intervening?  What was the 17 year old doing, drinking Coke the whole time?  Who was paying for the drinks, and in the paying did the waitress notice Madison’s growing impairment?

Over three hours of drinking, did she ever go to the bathroom, and was her unsteadiness noticed then?  What did she drink – hard liquor? If so, what?  It should be on her bar tab.

Why did no one say anything about a 17 year old remaining for hours in the bar, into the wee hours of closing time, in fact?

Did Madison have a cell phone? Young people nowadays don’t go anywhere without their cell phones, if only to take selfies, which Madison seems frequently to have done.  Did Madison text anyone or receive texts?  What do they say?  Did she take any selfies in the bar?  What has become of her cell phone?  If she didn’t take it with her, why not?

If Madison was so unsteady on her feet, what do we make of the video allegedly showing her jogging to catch up with four men as they approached a car?

The car was said to be owned by the 18 year old white guy, Casen Carter.  Was he the driver that night?  Madison was supposed to have been seated in the front passenger seat initially, meaning the 17, 18 and 28 year olds would have been seated in the back seat.  How did it come to pass that Madison was raped in the back seat?  That would involve, stopping the car, getting out, and in, in the pouring rain that night.  Why didn’t Carter drive the mile back to campus, instead of letting her our 3.5 miles from Reggie’s bar, if he wasn’t going to rape her, only watch?

The report mentions that a trace amount of THC was found in Madison’s system, but THC remains in the body days after intake.  Smoking weed in the bar would be very obvious and obviously illegal, and so could not play a role in Madison’s intoxication.  The story does repeat the claim of a blood alcohol content of .319%, which I claim is not possible.  At that level Madison would be in a coma.  She would have been vomiting and losing bladder control somewhere in the .20% to .25% range, half a dozen drinks before.  There are no reports of Madison vomiting or pissing herself that night.

If Madison did work for the bar, even informally, that might explain why they tolerated her presence there, though underage.  And it might explain that she was served as many drinks as she asked for, and didn’t have to pay.  The claim in the story that she boozed it up with four men is contradicted later in the story by the video evidence that she was only with the 17 year old, and it doesn’t say for how much of the 3 hours or more she spent in the bar was with other people, who, or how many.  This part contradicts previous reports that Madison was out with other LSU friends, including her ride home, who left her as she become more intoxicated.

If she was that unstable on her feet and unable to keep her balance, did the 17 year old help her get to the car?  And if it wasn’t him, who provided her with the assistance she needed to keep upright, make it out of the bar, and make it to the car?

More questions than answers, and lots of contradictory evidence.  But, we’ll stay on top of it.

Madison Brooks Blood Alcohol Level seems wrong

Vincent J. Curtis

28 Jan 23

It was reported on Fox News that the coroner found that Madison Brooks died with a blood alcohol level of 0.319%.  There was no report of her being tested for a date rape drug.  This BAC seems ridiculously high, and the test ought to be repeated.

The open literature states the following effects at increasing blood alcohol levels:

BAC can be used as a guide to what effects alcohol may have on behaviour. People who drink alcohol regularly may show less effect at higher BAC.

  • A BAC of up to 0.05 g% is likely to cause a feeling of wellbeing. Likely effects are being talkative, more relaxed and more confident.
  • A BAC of 0.05 to 0.08 g% is likely to make you at risk of impaired judgment and reduced inhibitions.
  • A BAC of 0.08 to 0.15 g% is likely to put you in a risky state. Likely effects include slurred speech, impaired balance and coordination, unstable emotions and possibly nausea and vomiting.
  • A BAC of 0.15 to 0.30 g% will put you at high risk with likely effects to be inadequate breathing, unable to walk without assistance, loss of bladder control and possibly loss of consciousness.
  • A BAC of over 0.30 g% is likely to put you in a coma or result in death.

A blood alcohol level of 0.319% seems unreasonable, and the test ought to be run again.  On leaving the bar, Brooks was said to be unstable on her feet, yet there was a video released of her allegedly jogging to catch up to the four men who said they would take her home.

Madison Brooks was killed about an hour after she left the bar, and so had not consumed alcohol over that period, or ought not.  Consequently, her BAC should have been higher than 0.319 at the time she left the bar, the body metabolism working for an hour on the alcohol.  The coroner would have us believe that Madison Brooks had drank enough alcohol to have her in a coma, having lost control of her bladder, vomiting, and in quite an emotional state well before she finished drinking in the bar.  And nobody noticed?  Her server kept selling her drinks?  And she kept paying?  The bouncers didn’t notice anything unusual or dangerous developing?  (A young, underage girl dying of alcohol poisoning in their bar isn’t good for business!)

This doesn’t seem right.  Madison Brooks may have been drinking heavily, but not that heavily.  Maybe enough to impair her judgement, but not enough to make her stumbling intoxicated, as she apparently was two hours after closing, when the four men let her out on a four lane highway and laughing callously at her stumbling gait.

Was Madison fed a date rape drug?  Was she tested for it?  Was she fed more alcohol as she was being driven around town with the four men?

A date rape drug would explain why no one in the bar noticed anything really bad developing.  Such a drug might also interfere with the BAC test, and add to the reading.

Fox News has just reported that Kaivon Washington, the 18 year old Black man charged with raping Madison, has just been now been charged in the raping of a 12 year old girl in March, 2020.  Washinton would have been 16 at the time.  Raping Madison wouldn't this group's first time.  That story is here:

The story of Ashley

Vincent J. Curtis

26 Jan 23

I shouldn’t be writing this.  This going to be ugly.  By the end I discovered I was writing about sex as a political act.  The first part is a fictionalize account of a recent incident, followed by the actual facts of the case; and then some ruminations and recollections.

This is aimed primarily at girls 16 to 24 years in age, at their parents, and at those who love them.

This is the story of Ashley, a beautiful, fair haired girl of 19 who was a sophomore at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  Ashley was killed negligently by four Black men, and she was killed because of a weakness common in young white people these days, the need to prove to themselves and to others that they’re not racists.

On a Saturday night, Ashley was in a bar popular with LSU students, located a mile from the campus, drinking, evidently by herself.  She was approached by four men, one seventeen, two eighteen, and one of twenty-eight.  They were not LSU students.  Ashely was not on her guard, or not on it enough.  Perhaps she was disarmed by the fact that three of them were younger than she was, and she was underage.  It would be racist of her to get up and leave four Black dudes, she believed.  While they were chatting her up in a friendly manner and she was distracted, one of them slipped a date rape drug into her drink.  It wasn’t too long afterwards that her state of intoxication went from mild to acute.

In her drugged state and with the bar closing, she was asked if she needed a ride home, and Ashley said yes.  The four Black men took her in their car, and while driving around not taking her home asked her for sex.  Nineteen year old Ashley allegedly consented.  (Of course, the only witnesses to this would be the four perps). Two or three of the young ones fucked her, the 28 year old watched.  When they were done with her, laughing callously at her with her slurred speech and stumbling gait, they dumped her in the pouring rain on Louisiana Highway 42 (Burbank Drive) a four lane divided highway with a grassy median.  In her drugged state, she wandered out into traffic and was killed in an auto collision.

I don’t understand why no white men in the bar didn’t see what was happening and step in.  Maybe it would be racist to do so.  Ashley was only 19, beautiful, blonde; and innocent; and the “I’m a big girl & I can have sex with whomever I like, including these four Black dudes at the same time if I want.” wouldn’t wash with me.  Why didn’t the barkeep or a bouncer see something and do something?  Ashely and three of the four dudes were underage; he could have called the cops for her protection on the grounds they were all underage.  The person serving her drinks might have noticed her state of intoxication and asked for ID.  A barista could have shown some empathy.  But no.

Now, an innocent car driver has Ashley’s death on his conscience for the rest of his life.

If Ashley is the author of her own misfortune, it is because she didn’t walk away from the Black dudes?  That she had to prove to herself or to others that she wasn’t racist?  When these four Black men approached her, she had to demonstrate her progressive bona fides by not walking away?

She should have been thinking of saving herself for her future husband, not trying to prove that she wasn’t racist by having sex with multiple Black men at once, if that thought crossed her beclouded mind.

End of fictionalized account.  Think how you feel.  Now for the actual facts.

Ashley’s real name is Madison Brooks.  One of the eighteen year olds was not Black, and he is charged with being a “principal in a third degree rape”, as is the 28 year old Black dude.  They watched as Madison was fucked by the unnamed 17 year old and the Black 18 year old.  Madison was quite intoxicated on her own; her blood alcohol level was reported to be .319 %, nearly four times the legal limit.  Bar personnel let this happen.  Madison had been with friends earlier, but she insisted on staying in the bar and continue drinking even as they left, and her ride home went with them.  She was so drunk the friends she went to the bar with left her to her own devices.  You cannot legally be in a bar drinking in Louisiana if you are 19.  Nobody running the bar cared about the amount of liquor she had consumed, her evident state of intoxication and said, “enough;” or asked for ID.

This couldn’t be the first time Madison drank to excess, and she might, at age 19, have had a drinking problem that started in high school.  A person with a blood alcohol level of .319 and isn’t throwing up is an experienced drinker.  Madison was well on the road to becoming an alcoholic.  There is no report that Madison had been tested for a date rape drug.  Otherwise, the facts of Madison’s case are as described in the fictionalize account.

Is Madison the author of her own misfortune, and how different do you feel about her as compared to Ashley?

After her death, LSU said in a statement that Brooks “was an amazing young woman with limitless potential."  Bullshit.  The president had probably never met Brooks to know that she was “amazing”, and if she was as far down the road of alcoholism as appears, her potential was anything but “limitless.”  But people will say the right words to make themselves look good.

(Aside: Fox News ran a story claiming Madison was heroic for donating her heart and kidneys to organ donation.  More bullshit.  The doctors took what Madison no longer needed, and a dead person can’t act heroically.  Bullshit to deflect from the ugliness of the tragedy.)

To summarize, Madison Brooks drank herself into a stupor, and none of her friends loved her enough to say, “That’s enough, we’re going home, Madison.”  No bar employee cared about her state of intoxication and said, enough; and no one asked for ID.  And so she was left nearly helpless to fend off the vultures.  And they were vultures.  Why would four non-college dudes, three of them underage and three of them Black, hang around in a bar filled with the students of an elite college?  Predators on the hunt for prey, that’s what.  I doubt this is their first time taking a victim.

I have half a dozen granddaughters, one of whom is Madison’s age.  I wouldn’t go unarmed into any major American city, especially one run by Democrats.  If I had seen this happening to my granddaughter, you can be sure I’d have sailed in, weapon drawn and ready for the first bit of resistance from one of the dudes.   The first one would get the business, and then the second, and if necessary, the third.  The fourth would be high-tailing it out the back by the time I was facing him.  The matter of a drunken granddaughter saying she a right to fuck as many men, Black or otherwise, at once as she wants would be met with, “we’ll discuss at home, honey.”

What would happen if some white guy had saved Madison with potentially deadly force?  That college student would be facing jail time for killing a “black man” and, being a crime of racism and hate by an elite, would have the book thrown at him.  That’s how the system works: law is for the law-abiding, and the criminal low-lifes get soft time.

I’ll bet taking advantage of a lovely, young, innocent white girl was a routine trick for this gang.  They were well rehearsed in pulling off this trick.  I wonder how many other lovely, young, fair-haired white girls are sorry for getting involved with them and said nothing?  They said nothing because saying something would accomplish nothing except expose them to endless shame and ridicule.

Over a decade ago, I “rode along” with a police officer in a major Canadian city.  It was a Saturday night, and 18 and 19 year old girls used to get all dressed to the nines and go drinking, underage, along a strip of bars in a seedy area of the downtown.  Gangs of Middle Eastern men used to hang out along the strip as the bars closed offering these young, over-refreshed innocents a ride home.  They could have been taxi drivers soliciting business.  Many enough said yes, and got into the guy’s car, quickly followed by three or four other Middle Eastern men.  They would drive her to a quiet, secluded area and then “rape the shit out of her.”  Afterwards, they would drop her off near her home, and leave.

“Why isn’t there an avalanche of rape charges in this city?” I asked.

“Because the girls are too humiliated and embarrassed at what happened to report it, even to their parents.  They’re just grateful to be alive.” was the reply.

The shift sergeant this night was determined that that wouldn’t happen on his watch, and put a number of units and himself to patrol the strip.  A quiet face-off occurred between the police the force of volunteer taxi drivers.  Three quarters of an hour after the bars closed, it became apparent that the police weren’t going to leave, and without business, the Middle Eastern men left.

A beautiful, young white girl to many Middle Eastern men represents all that they despise of the free, Christian, open West; and gang-raping a young white girl to them is a way of heaping contempt upon the West and all that they despise about it.  Nothing personal, you understand, girl.  It’s what she represents, not who she is that matters to them.

Think I’m wrong and (gasp!) racist?  For over a decade now, in Rotherham, and Oxford, and Oldham, Pakistani grooming gangs recruit lower-class English girls to service their clientele of Muslim men that are now so numerous in England.  These are documented facts, and the police do nothing for fear of being accused of racism, as if raping young, English girls by Pakistani men isn’t an act of racism.

Many ghetto Blacks in America believe something similar.  A beautiful, blonde, white college girl represents everything ghetto Blacks have been taught to despise: white society with its wealth, and privilege, and power, and nothing heaps contempt on that more than fucking a white girl that represents all of that.  Maybe she wants to prove something to herself, but there’s no love involved anywhere.

A girl doesn’t prove that she’s not a racist by spreading for a Black guy because he’s Black; it demonstrates the opposite.  Sex can be a political act.

In Africa, it is common practice for victorious soldiers to rape every women in the village as a means of disgracing them and heaping humiliation on their menfolk.  Rape is a political act, an act of war, as UN High Commissioner and Special Representative and retired Canadian Supreme Court Justice Louise Arbour observed.

So, sex as a means of degrading what that woman represents to the man is common all over the world, and white, western girls represent a category to degrade to some men who aren’t white and aren’t into that Western Civ thing.  Sex can be a means of degrading what that girl seems to represent.

Girls, I know this is old fashion, but think of your future husbands.  If your husband is your first or at most your second, he will hold you in high esteem as a wife.  If he’s your eighth, or twelfth, or twentieth, well, your esteem as a wife falls commensurately.  This may be hard for you to understand now, but take from an old dude, that it’s true.  And being esteemed by your husband is a ticket to a lifetime of happiness.  Steer clear of the hookup culture, you don’t have to prove anything; the hookup culture is the route to a lifetime of disappointment and unhappiness.  Life isn’t a porn movie.

There are plenty of ideologues out there who are thinking, “This is so racy, racy, racist! He’s a white supremacist!”  Etc.  To which my reply is, “I don’t care.  You’re grotesque.  This is real life of real people I’m talking about.  Screw you and everything you stand for, you unhappy people.”

Girls, don’t degrade yourselves.  Sometimes, it’s not about loving you, but about degrading what you represent.  And there are rape gangs out there.

A protection racket for the criminal element

Vincent J. Curtis

26 Jan 23

RE: Calls for vigilante patrols as break-ins increase.  The Hamilton Spectator 26 Jan 23

RE: Case stayed against man who toppled Gore Park statue.  The Hamilton Spectator 26 Jan 23.

And you wonder why there’re Peter Khills in this world?  Khill’s neighborhood in Binbrook was terrorized for months with break-ins, attempted break-ins, and auto thefts.  The police could do nothing, and it’s not clear they tried hard to stop it.  One night, Khill’s own house was subject of an attempted nighttime break-in while his wife was home and he was away.  Finally, Khill dealt with the matter decisively, in a manner disapproved of by the courts, but the crime wave stopped.

Now, there’s a similar problem in the Kirkendall neighborhood, and calls for vigilante justice.  The police can’t stop the crime wave, and all they do is warn people against “taking the law into their own hands.”  Well, what about that law?  The man most responsible for vandalizing the Sir John A. Macdonald memorial had his charges stayed.  So, what’s the use of turning over criminals to the police only to have charges stayed? Or the perp gets released with a wrist slap?

The courts today are dogs in the manger of justice.  They aren’t justice; they just make sure justice doesn’t happen.  Together, the courts and the police act as a protection racket for the criminal element: God help the private citizen who “takes the law into his own hands!”  Law is for the law-abiding, don’t you know?

Calls for vigilantism are signs of the uselessness of police and the courts.

Gay Pride means straight humiliation.

The Ivan Provorov affair gives opportunity to examine the issue of Gay Pride and forced speech.  Ivan Provorov is a hockey player for the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League.  For the warm-up practice before the start of a game, on a night celebrating “Gay Pride,” the Flyers’ players were to wear a “gay pride” jersey, not their normal game jerseys.  Provorov refused to wear one, on grounds that it was against his religion.  “I respect everybody. I respect everybody’s choices.  My choice is to stay true to myself and to my religion,” he explained after the game.

Hockey punditry exploded, “How dare he!”; “He’s a hateful bigot who deserves to be severely punished!”

The final chapter of this affair has yet to be written, and any punishment Provorov might receive has yet to be inflicted.  Fodorov might escape punishment on the grounds that (a) being Russian, he is a foreigner; and (b) Russian Orthodoxy is not familiar enough in the public consciousness as a religion to be casually dismissed with contempt, like Roman Catholicism would be.

Gay pride and acceptance lives upon and within an ambiguity.  Is homosexuality, LGBT, gayness, what have you, a chosen lifestyle or are LGBT people the helpless victims of a crippling psychological disorder: they’re gay because they were born that way?  If you argue the latter, the official LGBT response is: no, it’s the former; and if you argue the former, they’ll claim it’s the latter; and since it’s the latter that makes you a hateful bigot deserving of punishment for causing pain to the helpless.  Let’s examine the horns of this dilemma individually.

If gayness is a chosen lifestyle, then it is chosen; meaning that living that lifestyle is an act of free will, and the choice was made conscious of the fact that plenty of people find homosexual acts to be repugnant, even sinful.  And those people have a right to their opinion every bit as much as gays have to making their choices.  The right of people to their opinion, and the validity of their opinion, cannot be dismissed as being “hateful” and “bigoted;” and those who hold hateful opinions ipso facto deserve to be punished.  Choices have consequences, and the distain of large numbers of people ought to have been weighed as an inevitable consequence of the choice to live a gay lifestyle.  And then there are people like Provorov who ask for the same respect that’s demanded.

At this point, the helpless victim of a psychological disorder - that they were born that way and can’t help being gay - is brought forward as a defense against “hate.”  It’s just wrong to hate the helpless!  But if LGBTQ2+ are helpless victims, then where does this ‘pride’ business come from?  There is no paraplegic pride, no blind pride, no schizophrenia pride, no Alzheimer’s pride, so why should there be pride is this particular disorder – the need to engage in homosexuality?  Yet, there it is: Gay Pride; and if you don’t go along with it, then you’re a hater and a bigot who deserves to be punished.

But there’s still this niggling problem that if LGBT is a chosen lifestyle, why should there be pride in it?  Pride in what – buggery?  There’s no particular pride in being “straight,” and there’s no courage in indulging in “the gay lifestyle.”  Still, there is this movement to enforce speech on straight people; to force them to apparently and superficially endorse or support the gay lifestyle and gay pride, eluding the fact that gay pride amounts to pride in buggery.

The transgender business should be treated separately, but will get a brief mention here.  The tactics around enforcing transgenderism is especially vicious.  First, the straight person is expected to live the lie that that transgender person is trying to propagate.  It is held up that these unhappy people have extremely high rates of suicide, and, it is argued, that if you don’t go along with their lie, their suicide is on your head, straight person!  Vicious.  This is an extreme version of the tactic to enforce speech on straight people seemingly to endorse gay pride.  But what is gay pride if it doesn’t boil down to a celebration of buggery or of the psychological conditions that lead to it?

An element that seems to feature in LGBTQ2+ living is humiliation.  The gays and queers seem to have this desire to humiliate themselves in different ways.  The gay pride movement is an effort to humiliate the straight community, by forcing the straight community seemingly to agree, to endorse, and to say things it doesn’t really believe, namely that it appreciates homosexuality against all laws of nature.  The psychological trick is say that not endorsing gay pride is a sign of hate, of bigotry, deserving of punishment.  And the primary enforcers of gay pride turn out to be straight people afraid of being labelled as haters.  Without the re-enforcement of members of the straight community, the LGBT community would lack the strength of numbers to enforce their program.  If gay pride was met with the laughter of the straight community, it would go nowhere.

Gay pride means straight humiliation, but this humiliation couldn’t occur without the enforcement of straight people, who for reasons of their own, have to strike a false, or certainly a confused moral pose.

Defund CBC News

20 Jan 23

RE: Poilievre’s far-right flirtations continue.  Op-ed by Fred Youngs.  The Hamilton Spectator 20 Jan 23.

Fred Youngs lacks the common sense and even the decency of a copy-boy.  Other people have a right to their opinions, right?  Not if you’re Fred Youngs.  The only opinions allowed are the approved ones.

Young’s tar-baby in this case is the Frontier Centre for Public Policy, which seems to take the other side of the argument.  They rail against “wokism,” and publish essays with titles like “Canada more socialist than Scandinavia,” and “Climate Change Dogma has more in common with fundamentalist religions than science.”  The outer reaches of egregiousness is reached in an essay that argues some good came out of residential schools.

But the subject of Youngs’ ire is Pierre Poilievre, for speaking to the Centre!  Appalling!!  Poilievre is forever blackened by this embrace of Youngs’ tar-baby.  The nascent Conservative government has to be destroyed because Poilievre won’t cancel people Young’s think deserve cancellation.  (The same rule does not apply to Justin Trudeau, whose embraces of the Chinese Community Party, the Cuban Communist Party, and other unsavory characters around the world doesn’t bother Youngs at all.  I’ll bet I can find a picture of Justin in talks with Vladimir Putin!  But no matter…)

Young’s opinion wouldn’t mean a scrap save for two things: the first being that Youngs was once a grand poohbah at CBC News.  He got to decide what was published and what wasn’t, and you can still see the bot-like repetition of tendentious news stories and narratives in CBC News today.  The second thing is that Youngs’ opinion, being published in the Spectator, is further evidence that the Spec is a zombie paper for the Toronto Star, the organ of the church of the Liberal Party.

The CBC is a tar-baby to conservatives.  Youngs’ argument that Poilievre’s government ought to be strangled in its cradle connects his past association with CBC New, and is relevant to the argument that CBC be defended by a Conservative government.  There’re lots of people like Youngs at CBC News.

Al Gore lets loose

Vincent J. Curtis

19 Jan 23

You might remember Al Gore.  His Academy-award winning film “An Inconvenient Truth” was judged in a British courtroom to be a monument of lies.  He won a Nobel Prize for his campaigning about the climate crisis before the facts caught up with him..  The Spectator occasionally publishes climate change opinions by a local writer who prides himself on having been trained by Al Gore.

In a Q&A session at the World Economic Forum currently being held in Davos, Switzerland, Al Gore was asked about action on climate change.  His incontinent and emotional response is as follows:

“The accumulated amount is now trapping as much extra heat as would be released by 600,000 Hiroshima-class atomic bombs exploding every single day on the earth.  That’s what’s boiling the oceans, creating these atmospheric rivers, and the rain bombs, and sucking the moisture out of the land, creating the droughts, and melting the ice, and raising the sea level and causing these waves of climate refugees – predicted to reach one billion in this century.  Look at the xenophobia and political authoritarian trends that have come from just a few million refugees – what about a billion?  We would lose our capacity for self-governance on this world.  We have to act!

So, in answer to your question I would say, we have to have a sense of urgency much greater than we have yet had, and we need to make some changes.”

I’m not going to fact check Gore’s poetic and fanciful claim about Hiroshima heat trapping, because even IPCC AR6 says it isn’t true; the earth releases as much heat to outer space at night as it receives from the sun every day, namely 239 W/m2, give or take.  The oceans aren’t boiling, and no one says they are.  In the 62 years since 1960, the upper oceans, i.e. from 0 to 2000 m in depth, have warmed only 0.15℃.  And expressions like ‘atmospheric rivers,’ ‘rain bombs,’  and the like are all poetic inventions of recent vintage, and are nothing but new names for old things.  California, for example, has alternated between drought and flood for over a millennium, and this proclivity is what prompted the still incomplete 1960s California water project, intended to capture enough water in flood times to carry through the periods of drought.

Melting of ice and rising sea levels are two of Gore’s hobby horses.  At his 2007 Nobel Prize acceptance speech, Gore predicted the Arctic Ocean would be ice-free by 2014.  Of course, that never happened.  As for rising sea levels, that simply isn’t happening fast enough, and is at best a few millimeters a year.  In 500 B.C., The Netherlands was a low, swampy area, and the Zuider Zee wasn’t recorded until about 800 A.D.  Sea levels have been rising since the end of the last Ice Age, and a slow rise today cannot be unequivocally attributed to the evil doings of man.

The predictions of a billion climate refugees by 2100 is another fantasy.  The crisis of today is of economic refugees and because the West chooses not to enforce it borders.  The whole business of climate refugees suggests that peoples of the third world have no agency, that they are as helpless as a feather in the wind; and this ugly bit of unwitting racism is common among condescending liberals making a show of moral vanity.  Note that Gore essentially agrees with the aims of the xenophobia and the political authoritarian trends, namely that the West doesn’t want or need the refugees! (“We would lose our capacity for self-goverence!”)

There’s no doubt Gore want’s people to act with more haste and urgency because if you’re going to do something stupid, you can’t act fast enough.  It is especially congenial to say such things like “We have to act!!” at a body with pretentions to world governance.

Al Gore was, and remains, an embarrassment to the climate change movement, and his incontinent and emotional exclamations at the WEF discredit a body that deserves discrediting.

Thank Joe and Justin

Vincent J. Curtis

17 Jan 23

RE: Natural gas sticker shock triggers anger.  News item by Jeremy Kemeny.  The Hamilton Spectator 17 Jan 23.

If you don’t like the high price of natural gas, thank Joe Biden and Justin Trudeau.  It’s their policy to eliminate so-called fossil fuels, and that means choking off supply.  When demand goes up and supply gets choked, prices go up.  Surprise!

Alberta has plenty of natural gas, so much so that shipping LNG overseas is one pipeline away.  But Joe Biden campaigned on eliminating fossil fuels, and, besides cancelling new pipelines, has forbidden fracking and drilling on U.S. federal lands.  Nat gas is priced continentally, and pipelines from Alberta to Ontario run through the U.S. because of the Canadian Shield north of Lake Superior.

That high price you see was promised by candidate Barack Obama who in 2008 promised electricity bills to necessarily skyrocket as his cap-and-trade program on fossil fues tightened the screws.  All because of the stupid notion of “climate change.”

The solar system is going to do what it’s going to do, and even 400 more ppm of CO2 isn’t going to change the atmospheric physics.

If you want affordable natural gas, if you want affordable goods, you have to vote for the here and now and the reality of 2023, not airy-fairy nonsense about the year 2100.

Let me warn my Ontario friends that if they keep voting Liberal, they risk losing their country.  Such is the mood out West at the provocative, harmful, and vengeful policies of Justin Trudeau towards the West.  "Divide and conquer" works only so long as the conquered accept their fate.  Albertans still remember the NEP of 1982 imposed by Justin's father.  That won't be tolerated again.

Riding on

Vincent J. Curtis

16 Jan 23

RE: April exit for county medical officer of health.  News item J.P. Antonacci.  The Hamilton Spectator 16 Jan 23.

Dr. Matt Strauss can ride off into the sunset having accomplished everything he set out to do: bring common sense and tradition medical ethics to pandemic policy.  To the dismay, consternation, and resentment of his critics in the media, Dr. Strauss proved to be absolutely right about how wrong the lockdown policy was, that vaccine mandates were unethical and vicious, as was the vaccine passport policy used to enforce that viciousness.

It’s not that Dr. Strauss’ beliefs were unique to him; his opinions were shared by the best epidemiologists in the world whose opinions, in turn, were suppressed when they weren’t derided by Big Tech and the MSM, who chose suppression over debate, and the government over freedom.  (The last words on that have yet to be written.)

I do believe Dr. Strauss’ opinions on public health have had a ripple effect in Ontario since the Queen’s Park poohbahs, the Chief Medical Officers and laughably named “science” table, couldn’t hide his successes which indicted their failures.  Panic is not a policy, and oppression is not an option.

We should all wish him well in his future endeavors.

NOAA and NASA disprove global warming!

Vincent J. Curtis

13 Jan 23

RE: 2022 was 5th or 6th warmest on record as Earth heats up. AP sotry by Seth Borenstein.  The Hamilton Spectator 13 Jan 23.

If 2022 was the 5th or 6th warmest “on record,” it shows that there is no consistent “heating up” trend, especially when the record begins in 1979.  The US historical climatology network does have data going back to 1880, but data tampering, which they call “renormalization” cools the past so much that it hides the extraordinary heat records of the 1930s dust bowl era.  It hides the global cooling trend from 1940 to 1979, a phenomenon that raised the spectre among scientists during the 1970s of a coming ice age.

The story mentions that a La Nina event in the Pacific Ocean may be responsible for global cooling, or “reducing global average temperatures,” and then the story proceeds oblivious to the fact that it just said something other than greenhouse gases affect global temperatures!

The story says that NOAA calculates the average global temperature to be an absurdly precise 14.76℃.  (as if precision meant accuracy) The IPCC AR6 report estimates it to be 16℃, and while this difference of 1.24 degrees might seem small, it’s the difference between ho-hum and calamity in 2100, allegedly.

Let’s also give a big “no never mind” to the work of John Christy and Roy Spencer, the data guys who’ve shown that all climate models radically over-predict global warming, and whose data indicates a global temperature rise of 1℃ by 2100 – if present trends continue.  Given the 20th century, there’s no reason to believe present trends will continue for another 80 years.

The public is being played by anti-freedom control freaks.  The latest scare is of gas stoves.  Big media is supposed to detect and expose government sponsored craziness, but in global warming, they’re all on the same side: the side of anti-western civilization.

ADATS Redux?

Vincent J. Curtis

14 Sept 22

ADATS (Air Defence Anti-Tank System) was almost unique to Canada.  For those who know what an Ontos is, ADATS is somewhat like a hi-tech version of that.  ADATS was a weapons system that could be vehicle or static mounted.  In its day, the system was mounted on an M113A2 chassis, and the whole shebang, vehicle and weapons system, was called ADATS.  The Americans thought about mounting one on an M2 Bradley, but never did.  So, the vehicle that the weapons system is mounted on isn’t actually relevant.

The primary armament of the system was eight missiles mounted in separate launch tubes, in two pods of four missiles each, and a secondary armament of a Bushmaster M242 25 mm auto-cannon.  The upgrade from the Ontos is that ADATS employed radar detection and laser guidance.

Canada was the lead customer and, as it turned out, essentially the only customer.  The weapons system was developed by Oerlikon/Martin Marietta in the early to middle 1980s, when chips in those new-fangled DOS IBM PCs were 8086s.  The primary detection system was radar, and the operator could paint a target with a laser beam.  The radar of those days liked the clean background of an open sky; cluttered ground terrain, not so much.

Once painted, the missile screamed to target at Mach 3.  The missile was roughly 2 m long, 0.15 m diameter, had a range of 10 km, a ceiling of 7,000 m, and a 12.6 kg shaped charge/fragmentation warhead with impact and proximity fuses.  It could penetrate 90 cm of armour.

ADATS didn’t have much of a service history.  Adopted in 1989, it was retired in 2012, essentially never having been deployed overseas.  An upgrade program was considered in 2005: an improved radar and a missile with an improved non-line-of-sight tracking system.  These were the days when Canada considered tanks to be obsolete (because there was no prospect then of replacements for Leopard Is).  The idea of the upgrade was to create a light, cheap multi-mission effects vehicle.  But a Conservative government came to power in 2006, the upgrade program was quietly cancelled, and Canada acquired Leopard II tanks.

The question around ADATS for a NATO country is, why?  You can expect air supremacy, given the capabilities of the USAF.  Even if you only had air superiority, camouflage worked pretty well for higher HQs during WWII.  ADATS was too lightly armoured and had such a long range, it didn’t seem to have tactical niche in an armoured rush.  If it picked off a rogue enemy tank at 10 km, it would draw attention to the HQ it was protecting.  The Ukrainians might have made good use of these systems in the early days of their war with Russia.

But what’s old is new again.  Saab has developed a new system called MSHORAD (Mobile, Short Range Air Defense System), and is strictly for air defence.  It’s light enough that it can be mounted on a pickup truck. Because you can’t hit what you can’t see, the heart of the system is Saab’s Giraffe 1X radar system.  Giraffe 1X is a 3D radar, and it takes a pretty small cross section to escape its notice.  Giraffe 1X scans the entire search volume every second, and is capable of detecting small UAVs.

Having detected the target, there comes the business of shooting it down.  For this, MSHORAD has Saab’s RBS 70 NG system, which comprises missile and aiming/tracking system, and comes in a three missile battery.  The missile has an effective range of 9 km, maximum altitude of 5 km, and maximum velocity of Mach 2.  The missile can be used in a MANPAD role, but adding a sophisticated aiming/guidance system makes it heavy for shoulder fire.

A smaller, lighter, close-in air defence system might make more sense for HQ and vital location protection than an ADATS weaponry guided by the Giraffe 1X radar.  Since you can mount MSHORAD on a pickup truck, the vehicle isn’t important in the cost of operation and maintenance.

Good reason to be ashamed

Vincent J. Curtis

11 Jan 23

RE: Doctor won’t miss his public health job.  Opinion piece by Bruce Arthur.  The Hamilton Spectator, 11 Jan 23.

Why is the Spectator running opinion hit pieces in the news section?  Why is the author of the hit piece, Bruce Arthur, not listed as a Toronto Star columnist, whose claim to fame is as a sports writer?  Given the content of the article, I can see why the Spectator would want to distance itself and the Toronto Star from it, but then, why run the piece at all?  Why was it necessary to discredit Dr. Strauss as he leaves his job?  Is it because he bucked the COVID narrative – and proved to be right?

Arthur himself proves to be a quite a piece of work.  Apparently, he’s a fan-boy of the Chinese Communist Party.  How do I know? He describes The Epoch Times as a “right-wing fringe publication.”  If you know anything about The Epoch Times it is anything but, and is superior as a new source to the Big Tech dominated MSM.

Perhaps the most egregious statement in the sports writer’s piece is “From my perspective, and that of most people with expertise in public health, this is libertarian-style bunk.”  Really? Who are these people – Anthony Fauci?  Evidently, Arthur doesn’t know Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, Dr. Scott Atlas, or the authors of the Great Barrington Declaration – eminent epidemiologists all.  And so Dr. Strauss gets smeared with Arthur’s “perspective.”

The Spectator has good reason to be ashamed of publishing this piece.  It ought not to have published it at all.

-30-

I can feel it now: The Great Barrington Declaration – that was discredited!!  Yeah?  By whom?  As the Twitter files get published, we’ll know more but even now we know that Dr. Anthony Fauci and Dr. Francis Collins were striving behind the scenes to have the work of these eminent epidemiologist somehow discredited, and Big Tech complied.  Note: neither Facui nor Collins are epidemiologists themselves, and the thrust of the Declaration was the lockdown policy – their policy – was misguided and wrong.  The MSM can’t hide behind something being “discredited” (by them!) anymore.  They’re just being tools and propagandists for the government, and discredit themselves.

The authors of Great Barrington are: Dr. Sunetra Gupta, Professor of Theoretical Epidemiology and Oxford University; Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, professor of medicine at Stanford University; and Dr Martin Kulldorff, professor of medicine and a biostatistician at Harvard University.  Even now, Big Tech lists discrediting hit pieces on Great Barrington ahead of the actual open letter itself.  This is truly amazing that arts majors would put their thumbs on the scale like this and on this matter.

Great Barrington is the name of the small town in Massachusetts where the letter was signed.

The Greendom Convoy

Vincent J. Curtis

10 Jan 23

RE: Bill 23 demands major protest.  Letter to the editor by Gord McNulty.  The Hamilton Spectator 10 Jan 23.

Gord McNulty is on to something.  We need to organize a protest at Queen’s Park to force the Ford government to bend to the will of the people – our people.

Queen’s Park is not a large place, and it won’t require many big rigs to surround and isolate the place.  Antifa has a large contingent in Toronto, and they will come out to protect the protest from a counter-protest by those pesky, far-right, fat-cat developers.

We can decorate the trucks with black-power flags, Extinction Rebellion flags, and I’m sure Just Stop Oil has symbols that can be waved around.  Maybe even a hammer and sickle.  The whole waterfront.

I know this sounds familiar, but we can call this protest against Bill 23 the “Greendom Convoy.”  Being left-wing we have nothing to fear about an invocation of the EA by the Trudeau government.  Justin would love to give Dougie a rueful look and say, “your turn to wear this one.”

Good thinking Gord!

What would be justice?

Vincent J. Curtis

9 Jan 23

RE: Trudeau vows to seek justice for Flight PS52 crash victims.  A CP story published in the Hamilton Spectator 9 Jan 23.

Instead of vowing to seek justice, why doesn’t Prime Minister Trudeau get off his ass and actively seek it instead of merely vowing to get off his ass?  Of course, that raises the problem of what justice would look like in this case.

It has already been admitted that the shoot-down was a mistake by an Iranian anti-aircraft unit on high alert after the killing in Iraq of Iranian Revolutionary Guards General Qasem Soleimani.  So, against whom is justice to be sought?  The battery commander?  The Iranian regime?  What would that justice look like?  Imprisonment?  Sanctions?  (For how long?) Some characteristically Iranian form of punishment?  It’s not clear, nor has Trudeau sought to sweep away the brush surrounding this question.  As it is, by justice some people mean revenge, and to others it means votes.

When a German U-boat sank the Lusitania, killing American citizens, it raised the prospect of a declaration of war by the U.S. against Germany.  It would invite contempt for Trudeau to raise a similar prospect.  So, why is Trudeau offering his body to console Tourane Shamsolahi, when plainly there is nothing he can, or will do?

Is there a more execrable politician in Canada than Justin Trudeau?

Fake weather report

Vincent J. Curtis

7 Jan 23

RE: Expect more warm winters, extreme weather expert says.  CP story by Tyler Griffin.  The Hamilton Spectator 7 Jan 23.

Thanks to Facebook, known corporately as Meta, and shameless bribe-takers at the Canadian Press, the public gets blessed with completely fake weather reports that insinuate climate change is responsible for the altogether expected weather of Southern Ontario this season.  The writer of the story, Tyler Griffin, is on a “news fellowship,” for CP, paid for by Meta.  Previously, Mr. Tyler would be known as an intern or as a cub reporter.

In the story, Blair Feltmate is baptized with the totally fake expertise of an “extreme weather expert.”  Felmate is head of something called the “Intact Centre for Climate Adaption” which is associated with the University of Waterloo.  Intact is the name of a large insurance company in Canada.  But as an expert in “extreme weather” it means Feltmate must be lacking expertise in ordinary weather or weather generally, and so it is hard to know when his expertise kicks in.  But never mind.

Feltmate issues caveats that completely undermine the narrative of climate change.  “Not every extreme weather event can be directly linked to climate change,” he says.  “What we’re going to see is changes is the frequency of extreme expressions of extreme temperatures – hot or cold.” (The redundancy of “extreme expression of extreme temperatures creates logical problems in what he is saying, but never mind.  Ambiguity is vital to insinuating the climate change narrative.)

“The No. 1 expression of climate change in Canada is flooding, particularly residential basements.”  Apparently building homes on known flood plains has nothing to do with it.

(Note: the Grand River flood of 1974, which inundated southern Cambridge, ON, has yet to be repeated.  The flooding of home in the Red Hill Valley after construction of the RHVP was determined to be inadequate hydraulic engineering of the expected water flows.  But never mind.)

What used to be called “the January thaw,” made outdoors hockey impossible, and the phenomenon led Conn Smythe to build Maple Leaf Gardens in 1930.  The commonly experienced thaw is now described as “an extended winter break” and “warmer than normal temperatures after seeing a front-loaded winter in December.”  Apparently, getting a white Christmas is due to the ‘front-loading’ of winter.

The enlightenment continues with another expert, Doug Gillham, of The Weather Network; “We’re used to January thaws, but this January has become more than just a thaw.”  And then, “colder than normal winter temperatures are expected to return by in late January or early February.”  Right on schedule, if you’ve lived in Southern Ontario for forty of sixty years.

To summarize, the trends Southern Ontario has experienced for about a hundred years will continue, except that the extremes will get more extreme, and this is due to climate change.  Logically, this is all backwards; climate is a characterization of typical weather; and it is changes in characteristic weather that amount to changes in climate.  But changes characteristic weather have to be over a long time for them to be changes in characteristics, and one year, or even a decade, of oddball weather does not amount to a change of climate.

There is also the problem that satellite temperature data simply does not support the theory of global warming, certainly not to any significant degree.  And to get really nerdy, a rising amount of energy in the atmosphere globally, reflected as high global temperatures, would tend to produce more uniformity, not greater extremes, especially of cold.

The narrative of climate change is insinuated through every reputational saving caveat, and the complete absence of evidence.  The current characteristic weather patterns are the evidence of no change, and all that’s offered are opinions on the future by alleged experts.

CP and the MSM fool no one who understands logic or who has lived on earth for a good length of time; and Zuckerberg, who funded this story, has a record of pushing fake narratives.

-30-

Facebook ruthlessly censored and banned the lab origin theory of where COVID-19 came from.  Now, it is the accepted theory.  Why Zuckerberg would put his thumb on that scale is not clear, but he did; and narrative pushing has become the habit of all social media outlets, with the exception now of Twitter under the management of Elon Musk.
