RE: Proliferation of guns on city streets is an ‘alarming trend.’ By Nicole O’Reilly. The Hamilton Spectator 1 Feb 22.
They say that a fish rots from the head back. Well, the rot at the Spectator has reached the level of crime reporter! Take the fretting offered as a story-cum-editorial by Nicole O’Reilly at reference. Its sole purpose is to establish the premise for a confiscation of guns from law-abiding gun owners. “Criminals have so many guns, so let’s take guns away from the law-abiding!!!” I can hear it now.
The gun shown at the top in the accompanying photograph appears to be an M&P Shield, which is illegal in Canada because the barrel length is too short. That gun did not pass through the hands of a law-abiding Canadian gun owner. The shotgun below, if it has a shoulder stock, is not easy to conceal, and if it has none, is impossible to shoot.
I say we should take the same approach to
guns on the street as we did with COVID.
Very few people actually had COVID at any one time but we vaccinated the
entire population to protect the vulnerable from it. If we legalized concealed carry as they have
in much of the U.S., it would be like mass vaccination. Plenty of “the vaccinated” would be around to
stop the spread of the few cases of “COVID” that crop up.
