There’s nothing like facts and data to spoil a good theory.  Take the theory that the current pandemic wave is a “wave of the unvaccinated.”  Here is Ontario’s hospitalization data of January 8, 2022.  Non-ICU hospitalized: 1353 fully vaxxed, 115 partially vaxxed, and 457 unvaxxed.  In ICU: 137 fully vaxxed, 18 partially vaxxed, and 123 unvaxxed.  The vaccinated outnumber the unvaccinated in hospital and in ICU by quite a bit, enough to explode the theory that this is a ‘wave of the unvaccinated.’

As Mr. Ted Lister reports, even the boosted get COVID.  His case is common, and a fourth dose is now available in several countries that are experiencing another pandemic wave and have already vaxxed and boosted once their populations.  The vaccines are not inducing herd immunity as they were expected to.  It’s time to smell the coffee and stop beating a dead horse!  Vaccinating and boosting the entire population is a waste of effort, meaning that mandating vaccination won’t solve the problem.

Ontario needs to reopen so that natural immunity can be acquired.  In particular, schools, universities, and colleges need to reopen immediately, for their closure isn’t protecting the health care system.  You protect the health care system by focussing on the vulnerable; trying to protect everyone is not just impossible, it’s irrational.

Where are the therapeutics?  These protect the health care system directly.
