RE: More tools needed to fight hate. Editorial The Hamilton Spectator 25 Jan 22.
As the Spectator continues to promote the global warming hypothesis with pictures of enormous piles of unshovelled snow and reports of -21℃ temperatures, it turns to another favorite topic: hate. Hate is bad. Hate is to be condemned. Government needs more powers to combat hate.
Even as the Spectator promotes a hate the unvaxxed campaign! The unaxxed are racists and misogynists, says the Prime Minister. The unvaxxed should be denied health care, even for appendicitis or a broken wrist. The unvaxxed should be confined to the homes and denied opportunity to shop for food. In fact, the unvaxxed should be taken to special camps. It doesn’t matter if the unvaxxed are recovered from a COVID infection, or not, or how young and healthy they are. Forget about our prior beliefs of medical ethics concerning forced medical procedures. This emergency is just too damned important to follow the rule of law, or even laws of basic decency!
Hate is further promoted in the panic-porn campaign
over COVID. The average age of death is
80, and generally is of frail people with 4, 6 or more co-morbidities, but the
age risk of COVID usually goes ignored. Everyone
isn’t at risk. Seasonal influenza is
more dangerous to those under 40 than COVID is, but these facts don’t matter. Gotta keep the scare in people. And keeping up a hate campaign against the
unvaxxed and anti-mandate types is one way of doing it.
