Firing the unvaxxed nurses

As Hamilton digs out from an avalanche of evidence for global warming, amused minds turn to other matters of cosmic justice.

The Spectator reports 1.032 vaxxed and boosted hospital staff are isolating from having caught COVID-19, while perfectly healthy unvaxxed nurses and other staff are being fired – for being unvaxxed.

Back in October, the belief was that the fully vaxxed couldn’t transmit the infection to other people, and now we know that’s wrong.  Nevertheless, the justification for firing unvaxxed people having been exploded, the sacred policy of vax or die remains in force.

A tiny bit of sanity from the Ontario Nurses Association that “we don’t support the terminating of nurses when we need them most” flies over the heads of those running the health care system, who can’t think critically.  Meanwhile, Quebec is sending infected workers to treat COVID patients, so desperate are they for staff.

We get a song and dance from the farcically named “science table” about so many hospitalization per million vaxxed versus unvaxxed.  The table is talking about categories, not flesh and blood people.  If an unvaxxed nurse is fit for duty, why can’t she work?  Because of some theoretical possibility?  Are we that short of rapid test kits?  Her supervisors show less intelligence than a computer algorithm.

People who let their health care system be run by brain-dead ideologues who couldn’t reason their way out of a paper bag deserve to suffer neglected on a gurney in a hospital corridor.
