Colour Trudeau Yellow

Thursday last, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau showed his true colours to the world: yellow.  Faced with tens of thousands of muscular truckers petitioning for redress of grievance, the slender Mr. Trudeau came down with a case of the vapours and will be indisposed for as long as the truckers are around.

Doubled vaxxed, boosted, and wearing a mask, Mr. Trudeau alleges he encountered a COVID positive person and, despite testing negative himself, is doing the responsible thing by entering quarantine.  No word on who the COVID positive person was, but they must have been asymptomatic because a sneezing, coughing sniffling person gets nowhere near the PM.

Meanwhile, the Dauphin’s picadors, the media, are all agog about ‘extremists’ in the truckers’ midst.  No word on what that extremism amount to, but one is left with the impression that the extremist views in question form the heart of the protest: that vaccines shouldn’t be mandated.  There’s no proof of efficacy, that mandates stop the spread.  Truckers weren’t responsible for the spread of Omicron, and we have a year’s worth of experience to show that vaccination status of truckers, as they carry goods to market, matters nothing in the spread.  Mandating vaccines now, as Omicron begins to wane, seems more like enforcing social conformity based on ideology, not science.

The effete drama teacher in his breathiest voice claims that the truckers have ‘unacceptable views’ in the Canadian democracy and don’t represent the views of Canadians.  Meanwhile, he, the Dauphin, understands true science.  Hence, the truckers must be cancelled.

Conservative leader Erin O’Toole does plan to meet the truckers to hear their grievances and speak to them, and the media picadors are seeing to it that he’s cancelled too.  Cancel, cancel, cancel!  It used to be that the evil attached to the views, not the person, but no longer in Canadian democracy.  Only acceptable views can be accommodated.  No grievances from those with unacceptable views will be heard, never mind redressed on the merits.

In mandating vaccines, the governing powers became possessed of a madness.  If vaccines are good, enough people will get them.  But vaccination became political, and so now political means will be employed to enforce taking them, regardless of facts, data, and science.  Actual immune status from recovery is of absolutely no account, and Omicron is wildly contagious and extremely mild.

Colour Trudeau yellow.  Let his media picadors discredit the truckers’ rally.  But Trudeau’s real colour won’t be forgotten.
