In previous postings, I observed the strange co-incidence of
people who got physically close to the Clintons and wound up getting themselves
covered in political filth. They would
include James McDougal and Webster Hubbell from Whitewater days, all the women
who were either raped, sexually molested, or simply had an affair with Bill
Clinton, the tar babies James Carville and Paul Begala; George Stephanopoulos, and
more recently Loretta Lynch, James Comey, and even Elijah Cummings. Here are two more to add to the watch list:
Patrick Kennedy and Catherine “Kate” Duval.
These were people who worked for Hillary Clinton at the
State Department. We’ve heard of Patrick
Kennedy before. He was a long time civil
servant who was involved in covering up the fact that Hillary Clinton used a
secret server. Kate Duval’s is a new
name. As the Fox News extract below, authored
by Catherine Herridge, says, Duval worked as a lawyer and under-henchwoman for
Patrick Kennedy. She worked at the IRS
with the infamous Lois Lerner of IRS-gate, and – in another strange coincidence
- for the same law firm as long-time Clinton attorney David Kendall. Kendall came to national attention as Clinton’s
attorney for the Starr investigation into Whitewater, Bill Clinton’s impeachment
trial, and, if memory serves, represented Clinton in the Paul Jones lawsuit.
Digging into the FBI 302s document dump of a couple of weeks
ago turned up this:
“State Department witness also told the FBI there was a
deliberate effort to change sensitive Clinton emails bearing the “B(1)” code --
used in the Freedom of Information Act review process to identify classified
information -- to the category of “B-5.” That category covers Executive Branch
deliberations, “interagency or intra-agency communications including attorney
client privileges,” and makes material exempt from public release. [Because of
its extreme sensitivity, it would be secret or top secret information. – VJC]
Over five pages of the single-spaced summary notes, the
witness, whose name is redacted, alleges Clinton’s team which included
Undersecretary for Management Patrick Kennedy played classification games to
confuse and obfuscate the formal FOIA review process.
“(Redacted) believed there was interference with the formal
FOIA review process. Specifically, STATE’s Near East Affairs Bureau upgraded
several of CLINTON’s emails to a classified level with a B(1) release
exemption. (Redacted) along with (redacted) attorney, Office of Legal Counsel
called STATE's Near East Affairs Bureau and told them they could use a B(5)
exemption on an upgraded email to protect it instead of the B(1)
exemption." [This would be ex post facto up-classification –VJC]
In early May 2015, the witness reported, "… KENNEDY
held a closed-door meeting with (redacted) and (redacted) DOJ's Office of
Information Programs where KENNEDY pointedly asked (redacted) to change the
FBI's classification determination regarding one of CLINTON's emails, which the
FBI considered classified. The email was related to FBI counter-terrorism
operations.”
According to congressional testimony, at least one of the
lawyers in the office where the changes were made is Catherine “Kate” Duval,
who was at the IRS during the Lois Lerner email scandal and later handled the
release of documents to the Benghazi congressional committee.
Duval once worked for the same firm as [long-time Clinton
attorney David] Kendall and has since left the State Department.”
Is this activity criminal?
Probably not, but it sure looks like public servants are not giving the
public a fair shake of the law. So long
as Democrats run the executive branch, political corruption like this will only
get worse, and politics more acrimonious.
No justice will be done in respect of many shady and
criminal-like activities undertaken in support of cause Clinton if Hillary is
elected. It could entrench for a
generation a level of acrimony not yet seen in Washington. If Hillary gets elected, it will be because
she and her cheerleading media succeeded in smearing Donald Trump, as they previously smeared
Mitt Romney. She will have no
mandate. Given all of Hillary’s perjury
before the Congress, and brazen, boldfaced lies to the American people, the
Republicans are unlikely to cooperate with her, and will look to cripple the
executive branch at every turn.
Anyhow: Patrick Kennedy, Kate Duval. Keep those names in the back of your mind.
