RE: Scared scat-less about climate change problems. Op-ed by Grant Linney, The Hamilton Spectator, 3 Aug 22.
Grant Linney is a self-professed climate change expert. He was trained by AlGore, don’t you know. And he has every right to be scared scat-less because there is absolutely nothing Canadians can do about world CO2 emissions.
As an expert, Linney ought to know that Canada’s contribution to world CO2 is negligible. What little Canadians can do is eclipsed in a moment by what is happening in India and China, and as a climate change expert, Linney ought to know this.
So, what’s the point in ramping up the anxiety? Is it that Linney, and fellows like him, just like watching the Canadian hamster run faster in its wheel, thinking its accomplishing something?
Linney’s recommendations amount to garden-variety Marxism when it isn’t nanny wrist slapping: ban incandescent and mandate LED, buy a moral EV instead of an immoral fossil burner, and funniest of all – use a heat pump instead of natural gas heating in winter (neglecting that the electricity running the heat pump comes from burning nat gas!)
It’s tediously predictable. Run, hamster, run! The Chinese aren’t paying attention to Linney
and to 21,000 kW-hr per month AlGore, and neither should we.
