It turns out the HWDSB is rife with racism – anti-Semitic racism. The vote to demand Paikin Miller to resign reminds me of UN Resolution 3379, passed in 1975, that declared “Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination.”
The decision against Paikin Miller was fore-ordained by the relative placement of the two antagonists on the hierarchy of victimhood. An old Jewish woman grew bored with the complaining of a young Muslim girl about the plight of her co-religionist and other matters, and in the cat-fight that ensued, the Anglos sided with the Muslim over the Jew. All because they feared what might befall them if they chose wrongly.
And you wonder at the mismanagement at the HWDSB. This is what the trustees spend their time on. Your tax dollars at work!

Thanks for your great letters published in the Hamilton Spectator. I have given up on that rag as their default politics always steers back hard to the left. I realize that is a defeatist attitude but I call it a sabbatical from insanity.

I do not know any of the people involved but the entire fiasco is exactly as you have noted: The ones on the top of the intersectional list get a free pass while those further down (or not on it except in rare left-wing instances) get a kick in the ass, lots of shaming, de-platforming, job loss, doxing, censorship, a heap of grievance politics, and endless attention from the left-wing press who fuel hate against some while surrounding others with a firewall of love and sympathy.
A Jewish person could not have defended him/herself in this kind of situation because he/she would face a plethora of accusations of extreme bias. I feel sorry for the woman because she is beginning to express remorse and give apologies which the woke demand but are never satisfied with just apologies - they are out for blood and use every incident as an opportunity to promote and advance their agendas.
